Project Detail

SCS were engaged to construct a display suite for the Ouson Group, a well-established Australian property developer.  The building was a purpose built restaurant in Wheelers Hill that required a complete overhaul of both the interior and exterior.  The internal structure needed to be retrofitted and included the construction of a display suite to promote the future
development of the company. The display suite was successfully completed to a very high standard in order to enable prospective buyers to visualise the level of finishes expected within their future development.

The works required isolation of the power in an effort to ensure the safety of all workers on site and the set out of partitions to ensure that all internal dimensions were achieved. Once the setout was confirmed, all of the wall and hob framing was completed and a new ceiling grid constructed.  All of the electrical services were roughed in, the flexi duct extended, and the registers where set into the new ceiling grid. With the rough in complete we then commenced lining all of the walls, hobs and ceilings followed by a preliminary coat of paint. With the walls in place, screeding was then applied to the tiled floor, which was in preparation for a carpet finish.  All of the joinery was then able to be constructed on the tiled areas while a series of concurrent tasks were performed including the FC Façade sheeting, painting the paved area outside, and tiling the entrance area inside.

Key scope aspects:

  • Demolition of internal structures
  • Retrofit of internal electrics and plumbing
  • Construction and installation of a display suite
  • External painting and works
